About the event
Studies have shown that first-generation, BIPOC, graduates from predominately white institutions face difficulties after graduation that not many others are able to understand.
These difficulties can include: Burnout and Fatigue Post-Graduate Depression Imposter Syndrome Internalized Racism Experiences of Microaggressions Re-integrating into Community and Family Pressure to Perform and Succeed Soul Werk Cafe is hosting 6 group therapy session aimed at helping young professionals learn to navigate these difficulties. Group therapy is a powerful tool for growth and change.Â
Support groups are limited to 6-8 individuals, and will meet virtually to share their struggles and concerns of being a
first-generation BIPOC college graduate that attended a PWI with 1-2 trained group therapists.
